My next class is starting soon and I am still waiting I could have gone across campus, used one of the bathrooms over there, and come back in the time I’ve been waiting by god

Anyways, my overall thoughts are that I enjoyed it quite a bit! It’s a bit surreal to see Cox and D’Onofrio back together. I am very excited to see more of this series, and will be deluding myself that the hand is returning and Foggy will be revived by them to be evil Foggy and then he will live :3

nuanced take on the police it would be Daredevil.

A few more random thoughts: the guy that talks to the therapists about getting an appointment (who I think is the new villain) seems interesting, very excited to see more of him. The action was great, although there wasn’t much. Uh yeah that’s it.

are being treated as though they are the exception and not the rule. I guess I should’ve expected that from Marvel. I’m hoping that this doesn’t get worse, since right now it’s just undertones. And who knows, I might be misreading this. I guess I just figured if any Marvel project would give a -

There was also a weird undertone I got that was very pro-cop. This is only the first two episodes, but a lot of emphasis is placed on the cop-killing storyline and just the way people talk about the police, like “there are good and bad cops” please shut up. ACAB, and it seems like the corrupt cops -

Okay, now the bad stuff. Thankfully there isn’t very much.

The main thing is just that the influence of the MCU style of… everything is very apparent. There isn’t as much room to breathe, and some of the dialogue is a bit stilted. It’s not as bad as it could have been though.

Also, some of the VFX and music are… questionable. Especially Matt swinging in the beginning and the closing songs at the end of each episode.

The directing is mostly pretty good, but the original cinematography and directing is very difficult to beat. There’s still 7 episodes, so we’ll see.

Okay, not some stuff I’m calling my “well that’s a choice”s. Not bad, just not what I wanted.

Okay. Foggy dies IMMEDIATELY. What the hell. It feels like he goes out on basically nothing. I get it, reshoots, blah blah blah, but really it’s just disappointing. Hoping they do a bit more with it later.

The story is also interesting so far. Fisk is definitely not as reformed as he is making himself out to be, and I can’t wait to see what he is doing or will eventually do.

I also really loved seeing Bullseye, albeit briefly. Hoping we get to see a bit more from him this season.

Karen and Matt losing contact makes sense, although is a bit unfortunate. Kinda no way around it though, since it’s pretty obvious she was added in the reshoots and they couldn’t fit her in everywhere.

We don’t see a lot of either of them, but I’m excited to see where they go with Hector and BB.
