Finally working on a shuake fic... it will of course be unpleasant
It’s not only the coffee, or the curry. There’s an undercurrent of something else, something a bit like breath and a bit like blood, that turns Akechi’s head when he’s not careful. Something a bit like sex and a bit like meat. He can smell it on Ren’s clothing, in his hair, on his skin, in his smile. The smell wafts off of him like a cloud when he laughs, shaking the air around him, seeping between the cracks in Akechi’s armored heart. He’ll squeeze one hand shut when he smells it, just to distract himself, just to keep back the saliva that pours across his tongue. Blood, meat, breath, sex, blood meat breath sex bloodmeatbreathsex. Maybe if he gets close enough he can get a taste. Maybe if grabs him tight enough he can feel how good it would be to have those strong hands fight him, nails digging deserved lines into his back. Maybe if he holds him tight enough, their rib cages can crush and break and interlock and swallow each other whole, meaty hearts beating against one another in a synchronized frenetic rhythm.
