My solo show is going to be held at City College of San Francisco gallery starting on January 27th. …Reading Carl Sagan’s book “Cosmos,” I have come to understand that while our lives may seem fleeting in the grand scale of the universe, they are nonetheless significant. Sagan’s optimistic view of humanity, grounded in both scientific discovery and philosophical inquiry, explained why we are valuable as living beings on Earth and in the universe and provided a sense of solace in the face of uncertainty. Inspired by “Cosmos”, my own practice has been drawn connections between space, history, science, and culture, weaving them into a visual narrative that celebrates both the mystery and beauty of human existence. As I crafted scenes that transcended time and space, I experienced an exhilarating sense of freedom. My second solo exhibition, "Modern Cosmos," is inspired by the question of what humanity might look like if we viewed ourselves from a point far away in the universe. From this macro perspective, we appear insignificant ; much like the "pale blue dot" described by Carl Sagan. Yet, upon closer inspection, our lives shine with beauty, resilience, and infinite possibilities. Through this body of work, I aim to offer a reflection on our place in the universe—reminding us of the profound value of our shared human experience, no matter how small or fleeting it may seem.
