It’s so funny when you consider that one of the most long lasting pieces of media in the western canon that popularized our modern interpretations of what heaven and hell are like is basically a self insert Mary Sue fanfic of the Bible.

Random thought but the Polynesians and Vikings blow my mind with how well they managed to tame and traverse vast oceans without any modern navigation systems. Goes tho show that humans from the past weren’t dumb. They were just as clever as us but had to work around different technology levels.

One of my favourite animal facts is how hyenas used to have a much more expansive range during the Pleistocene, living as far north as Britain. And because of this, if you raise hyenas in a cold climate, they will grow a fluffy coat.
