reference photos

“from class” as in we didn’t have a model so I was doodling as we watched a movie about henry geldzahler. Did I pay a lot of attention to it? as you can see….. no I did not.

The assignment was to creat either a surreal or narrative piece combining 3 pictures/things so I did the saw bathroom + a variety of plants (vines on houses, funeral arrangements) + some dangly skeleton earrings I own.

My bf and I marathoned the entire Saw series starting in like Fall 2023 and ending a few months ago and I can’t explain to you exactly why in such a small amount of words but its one of my all time favorite movie franchises now.

I drew this because this class was slowly killing me from the inside and I needed to do something that brought me joy and that joy was found in the form of subtle chainshipping fanart.

I made 10 total prints of this piece + 2 bad ones for proofing purposes

Also did my research paper that semester on redheads in 19th century art (which of course was a LOT about the Pre-Raphaelites) So this was kinda full circle.
