The first player controller no longer works on my SNES even after changing out the controller assembly and trying different controllers, confirming that some components inside the CPU have failed. Apparently all too common.

The idea of being able to fire us all while profiting 10x more—and eventually turning us into their eternally indentured servants who get paid nothing to wait on them hand and foot—is just too alluring for them.
