Probably access. A fairly small protest on I-5 south of Sam Clemente would be a big headache for Pendleton. I guess they could use the train, but I’m sure the surfers at Trestles beach would have some fun with that too.

… and what happens if you forget your ID at home? Somehow I doubt it’s a one way ticket to El Salvador, but honestly am curious what actually would happen to you if you forgot your ID.

I purposely bought a Canadian made snow shovel about a decade ago, for obvious reasons. Sadly, it hasn’t really snowed enough since to get much use. It looks cooler than the ones B&Q sell though.

I have a 100 year old wheel hoe down at my allotment. It is the easiest way to clear weeds, with the least amount of effort, I have found (and I am pathologically lazy, so almost any effort is too much effort).

You might have tried these already, but archive.org? Hathi trust? Even US Library of Congress online search might help. Plus, all three are great sites to get lost in.

Zizania palustris costs about US$35/lb. in the UK and Zizania aquatica about US$25. Btw, species isn’t listed on the label.

I geeked out on wild rice a couple years ago after running out of my stock from WI and buying some more in the UK. It turns out there are actually two species of wild rice sold in the UK: Zizania palustris (delicious wild rice), and Zizania aquatica (awful tasting/smelling wild rice).
