As someone who has spent years haunting the same sites as my kiddo so that I am seeing what he is seeing, and then sits him down to have lengthy discussions about it (often using up all of my battery), I see you. And thank you.

We would be there! Our great coffee shop makes drinks all day, and knows that I’m a night shift nurse, so they are very sweet if I stop on my way home. A book, a drink, and a few minutes of calm. That’s all I want.

People look at my kid, he looks normal, they say. He is polite and can hold a conversation, they say. He’s just not trying, they say. I’m not fulfilling this plan if he’s not even trying, they say. I see the work he’s putting in to “act normal”, unsustainable for more than a few minutes. 💔

I had naturally great skin for most of my life, and thought I didn’t care about skincare. Now that I’m starting to look <shudder> old, I find I do care. I really never thought aging would bother me, but I guess it does. I don’t want to look my age, I guess. So skincare is now a necessity. Therapy?

My BIL was once in line to become a BA and I’m sure if he were still alive he would agree with you. It is an awesome sight, if you are far enough away to not be scared shitless.

My water heater is limping along on its last legs, and likely won’t be a priority until it really quits. Enough hot water for an efficient shower, but oh how I miss long luxurious baths.

Glad you’re pro Wayfair, as they will be paying for my old folk’s home… (youngest bio kid works there). I always feel badly, as I have no need for furniture. My house is already furnished.

I think people like that are put on this earth to remind me not to take all the super fabulous people I have in my life for granted. Like, I seriously have built myself the best group of friends/support people. It’s easy to forget that not everyone is as wonderful as my peeps.
