I’ve always loathed lights set too low. They’re second-tier there! The worst is when the actual rear light clusters have been blanked out and blinkers relocated near the bumper because the spare tire would obscure them from an angle at their original mountings.

My XS had paint cracking there but thanks to the galvanizing it barely browned. Underneath it was incredibly good, including the boot floor sides which I bet are rotten or hopefully welded on this one.

Looking from here the rust is centered where the body flexes. Door jambs, the seam in front of the rear wheel. Door bottom seams are where the front tires spray, so they rust if kept dirty.
