Exactly! Customers will buy if we make good products that connect with their needs. We need to try to understand those needs, instead of insisting they buy. That’s how the Japanese sold cars to us. They understood their market and met our needs.

Signal is encrypted but it is also an open-source app. That means that anyone can contribute code to the codebase. The quality of its security depends on the effectiveness of the open-source community collaborators and code reviewers. There a lot of eyes on it, but no guarantees that it is secure.

The level of incompetence is unfathomable! Signal is encrypted. But Signal is also Open-Source. The app is the product of public contributors to the codebase. Sure, that means there are many eyes on it. But it also means anyone can slip something in that gets missed and poses a threat.
