Yes, even here concerta and its equivalents can’t be obtained easily. It requires a psychiatrist, and many months of trying other things first. Luckily I am old, I got “tested” long ago, so it isn’t that hard to get prescribed. I take Methylphenidate though because it is cheaper & not a time release

I don’t expect everyone to accept it, but I believe the japanese media and government vilifies it far too much compared to alcohol and other much more addictive drugs, like the ones for ADHD. One must ask who profits from making it illegal? It is drug companies, alcohol companies.

I live in a state where Weed is recreationally legal for people over 21. 7 years ago it was medical only, and I did have a medical marijuana card. It is a better medicine for anxiety & ADHD for me than controlled stimulants. It doesn’t work for everyone, but it does work well for my family!

In the USA, hemp was made illegal because the hemp industry would rival other industries like cotton, and then alcohol companies lobbied against it also. But it undeniably is a better medicine option versus more addictive and damaging substances, so once it was legalized medically it spread more.

My father smoked weed since high school, and he never abused me or treated us badly. Not like drunks. Weed doesn’t make you violent, it doesn’t impair your motor skills to the same degree, it is truly safer than alcohol: less deadly accidents, doesn’t destroy the liver.

Adding marijuana to the turkey is weird but adding it to the baked goods is… pretty normal. Obviously only for consenting adults, but I have definitely cooked with marijuana quite a lot. Weed just isn’t as dangerous as alcohol.
