With rage, instability, and worry sweeping across the world, it’s comforting to know that poetry still engages.
I opened a school library, had 3 poems selected for The Dirigible Balloon @northernjim.bsky.social and spent a wonderful day with 200 children talking about poems and words this week. ❤️

These are Silly Sentences; a much loved game at my Active Poetry sessions.
Components of a sentence are mixed up then reassembled by the children. As bonkers as possible please!
Easy to do and a great idea if you home-school. Go further by getting the kids to write a back story for each sentence!
