Thank you! Self-publishing has ended up being a volume of work that I underestimated, but when a family member saw my book in Exclusive Books at CT airport this weekend, it felt all worth it! Nice to see another UCT course - it was very valuable

Stunned that President #Trump does not understand how #tariffs work. A company importing a product pays the tariff, NOT the company/country selling it. The cost is passed on to the consumer. To encourage local production & not import, you have to eliminate barriers & incentivise local production

For this who don't know, the #Superbowl is NOT the biggest sporting event in the world. As a single event, UEFA Champions League Final (football - the kind where you use your foot with a ball) gets almost 4 times the viewership. World Cup #Football (or soccer for American) is by far the most watched

As much as I despise Trump for just who he is & most of his policies, many countries in the world don't offer citizenship purely by being born there. It actually looks like the minority

How can an import/export business plan properly with so much #Rand/#USDollar exchange rate volatility? Strengthening is due to more confidence in SA & US interest rate cuts. Could break through the R15/US$ in 3 - 6 months according to Johann Els, Group Chief Economist at Old Mutual. One year chart 👇

Went to a @cityofct.bsky.social community update on Kloof Nek Road which got washed away in Sep 2023. Unfortunately the heavy rain this year made it worse, so instead of 2 years, it'll now take 3 years to fix! They had examples of the granite and its so crumbly! #CapeTown

Just before you think everyone is married with kids! Now only 17.9% of the #US population, while #single & married with no kids makes up 58.4%! Society/Hallmark celebrates everything around marriage, while a lot of us are living our best lives as SiNKs & MaNKs - just made that up 😀

Why I like politics in #SouthAfrica more than the #US:
1. Multi-party politics rather then 'them and us'
2. Parties only bring out t-shirts/flags months before elections. None on neighbour's lawn/car!
3. You don't know how others vote
4. Much easier to create a new political party without mucho $$
