If you are trying to deactivate your X account using an iPad and getting an error message, try using your phone instead. A few of us have found the issue is resolved by changing the device you log in with.

Yes - have been trying unsuccessfully to deactivate my account for more than 24 hours now. No reply from @XAustralia but several other X users have contacted me to report same. Not being able to deactivate from a social media site is a breach of GDPR and Australian Privacy Legislation.

Except you can’t - they appear to have disabled the Account Deactivation function
