This is fun to think about, but not really practical. There's, maybe 20 million people in CA who would have to individually decide to withhold their tax payments to the IRS, and risk individual penalties.

Actually I remember lots of people minding. There have always been people who strongly object to illegal immigrants, even without Trump to whip fear into a frenzy.

People waving Mexican flags are not doing so out of logic. It's an emotional response to being singled out for demeaning rhetoric and harsh treatment. I agree it's counterproductive but I also get it.

I thought Muskrat Love was stupid when I was a teenager. Muskrat aren't particularly appealing creatures. But pop music in general has its place. Just like cookies and ice cream have their place in our diet.

But also, what are these ethics? The Ten Commandments? The first four are religious and have no bearing on the law. The rest are common to all faiths. What religion, culture, or system of government does not forbid theft, lies, or murder?

Apparently someone pointed this out to him because in a later statement he said this will eventually apply to other manufacturers also. Then he said this tariff will start in June, which how could they possibly start making phones here that fast?

It seems to me that just being a child of Bill Gates would be a tremendous advantage in life. Aside from inheriting drive and/or intellect from two very accomplished parents, there are the obvious social and business connections they have access to.

Well, they could do like every other rich country and mandate paid maternity leave, subsidize child care, and make sure mothers and children always get Healthcare. I bet I'd have a couple more grandkids if they did that.

If I were Garcia and his family, I'd ask to be sent somewhere else entirely. Canada, ir Europe, or even Mexico. I know the

Slightly less egregious than the guy who is in the news. Not a very good reason - honestly none of those men should be there. We have prisons here if any of them are actual criminals.

Ok, I read the Axios article. One of the variables used should be based on the import price, and instead, they used the retail price. This had caused the tariffs to be nearly 4 times higher than they should be, according to these experts.
