This week I was honored to take part in the Team Canada Trade Mission in Australia as well as the Australia-Canada Economic Leadership Forum. 🇨🇦 and 🇦🇺 are trusted partners and this was an opportunity to build on our rich and deep relationship and history together.

Stumbled on some wise words by 🇨🇦 Marshall McLuhan on a trail through the 🇦🇺 Australian bush today: “There are no passengers on Spaceship earth. We are all crew”.

Wonderful to meet the brilliant and accomplished Julie Bishop today and hear her perspectives on Canada and Australia’s deep and long-standing relationship as well as her important work as the UN Special Envoy on Myanmar.

In the lead up to 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence, I met with Erin Keogh & Anna Coutts Trotter from The Survivor Hub - an amazing organisation that supports, informs and empowers people affected by sexual assault in Australia and beyond.
