Totally. It's "Let's throw women under the bus because we want to do business with countries that don't believe in women having rights."

To those of you lobbing accusations of G&M bias, here's the CTV saying the same thing.

... because it's a verbatim quote from the man himself.
Carney says Canada upholding values but drops talk of ‘feminist foreign policy’
Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada no longer has a feminist foreign policy, but still wants to uphold values on the world stage that include LGBTQ+ rights and combatting violence against women.

Sometimes the internet wasn't a mistake.

“But I wouldn’t describe our foreign policy as feminist foreign policy,” he said.

That's Carney saying we do not have a feminist foreign policy.

If you're doing a "Well, actually..." on me right now, you've been brain rotted by partisanship and you're engaging in bad faith debating.
November 23, 2025 at 5:55 PM
We see this with partisan stories and we saw it with Charlie Kirk: People yelling "FAKE NEWS!" or "Right/Left wing media bias!" when their beloveds are quoted verbatim.

You don't look like an intellectual. You look like a goof.
November 23, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Well, in Carney's case his actions AND his words suck, so I don't know why you think this is a dunk?
November 23, 2025 at 5:49 PM
It's clearer than ever that Trudeau was being bold and brave in traveling the world and calling himself a feminist.

Carney is clearly demonstrating how the word is seen as threatening to weak men and so he's backing away from it to frame Canada as Serious Business Men Doing Serious Business™️

Nov 25 is the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Dec 6 is Canada's National Day of Action and Remembrance on Violence against Women.

Carve out 1 hour of your time on either of those days to learn how you can address gender based violence in your community!
