I carved this stamp yesterday after singing this song in my head all day! The video is kinda going viral (for me, at least) on instagram and I hope Mamdani sees it!

I did it! I cataloged the stamps I’ve carved since May!
November 5, 2025 at 1:38 AM
I’m making a card catalog of the stamps I’ve carved!

Ultimately I plan to record all the stamps in a sketchbook, but for now this method is great.

In the second photo, the stamps I’ve already cataloged are on the left. The ones still to do are on the right.

Also, the scary season is never ending thanks to fascism, so I give you: ghost cat!

I liked them so much that I made a zine gathering together the month’s creations. I’ll add a scan of the zine as a free download on my website later today. Meanwhile, you can find images of the inside on instagram: www.instagram.com/jujubeees.zi...

Here are some of my fave stamps that I carved during the October challenge.
November 4, 2025 at 10:08 AM
In May, Laura Chenault taught me how to carve stamps using linocut tools. In October, I completed a daily challenge set by Serena Rios McRae. I’ve continued to carve stamps daily.

These four were traced from images I found online, mostly on Canva. Image credits in alt text.

My (academic) library has access to the Children’s Literature Comprehensive Database, and I searched it for this topic. Here’s the best I could find. I think only the first (Marion) is a picture book.

This Sunday, Sept. 21, I will be presenting twice at Queer Zest Zine Fest, a free online zine fest.

At noon (Eastern), I’ll do a one-hour livestream chatting about and reading from my zines.

Then, at 4pm, I’ll moderate a panel of zine librarians.

I had the opportunity to vend at my first in-person Zine Fest this past weekend! I handed out almost 100 of these catalog minizines I made, in addition to about 150 other free zines. I also *sold* my first zines. It was so nice getting to connect with people over my work. ❤️✂️🌈

I’m taking a letterpress class over the next three weeks. I made this today (typesetting, hand-inking, and printing it on a proof press [?]). The words are from Octavia E. Butler.

I started playing around with watercolor in February, taking classes online with Alex Kincaid for the past few months. My mom requested a painting and I made this from a traceable template and lesson from Alex.
