Clothes are my creative medium. It all comes down to texture and form, much like paint to a canvas. That, and telling human stories. We all get dressed, so there is something connective in that to me. I enjoy exploring the links between people of various walks and stories.

Fashion came out of philosophy and art studies. I’m an avid researcher by nature, and while assisting at W Mag I realized they all combine in editorial storytelling. That, and the college roommate who told me I could never make it in fashion, lit a spark.

I’d suggest walking along 57th st to all the designers’ brick and mortar stores, book ended by Bergdorf’s and Nordstrom’s men’s shops. You’ll, at the least, be able to see and try many brands along that path. Ven.Space is also a great multi-designer shop in BK with many great indie brands as well.
