Anyways if you like any of the bands mentioned you should definitely read the book because you get to learn about all the performance art stuff they did before they became musicians (they basically all did performance art)

I had never really thought of the latter three as being connected either with each other or with the former group - you think of Fad Gadget as a Mute band, for example, and Scritti Politti as a Rough Trade band, but this book shows how Fad Gadget was closer to Gang of Four than Depeche Mode

yeah, I saw a lot of people complain about how it's unoriginal and yeah the premise and a lot of the things about the first episode are unoriginal but it puts a really new twist on these ideas
