Don't lose this in all the noise. Trump abandoned Americans in hostile areas for no other reason than doing their jobs. Now they have 30 days to move countries and find new homes, jobs, schools. ABC’s abject capitulation in Trump’s extremely weak defamation suit encouraged him to file his utterly baseless suit against the Des Moines Register, its pollster, and Gannett. Each surrender begets more blatant attacks on freedom of the press. Each attack ups the ante for us all. Courage is needed.
