Eh, I'm a millennial, so I'm used to it. Damn near everyone I grew up with turned out to suck from Roseanne to JK Rowling to Marilyn Manson. Also a reason celebrity/hero worship is such a strange concept. I think all we've got left is Keanu Reeves and Brendan Fraser.
