My lab at SickKids in Toronto, Canada, studies brain development. We want to know how nerve cells wire to form complex neural circuits. Here for science, actions to make our world a peaceful, safe, and healthy place, laughs, and cycling.
#CAN2025 highlight was the session organized by @canacn.bsky.social EDI committee on financial barriers to scientific training. Inspiring presentation by @supportourscience.bsky.social on success for gov’t$ for trainee funds, and stimulating panel discussion.
Thank u @ibroorg.bsky.social for support

That’s a wrap for a wonderful, stimulating week at #ARVO2025
in beautiful SLC. There is exciting and amazing research in retina biology and vision, and the momentum for translational research and new therapies is strong. I feel energized from the discussions and new ideas.
