Our most secret dream may consist in being a tree, the existence of which is determined by the place where it took
root.

Just spent around 40 minutes to read, read, read and write about this passage from Irigaray. I love, love her so much!

"Matter-potency is duly corseted in/by rigid categories..."

The system calls you passive and then! forces you to stay passive. and look how she chooses to use the word 'corset'

“Even if we touch a tree, it does not mean that we ‘built’ the tree. The tree retains its independent existence. While we can build a house, it is not possible to build nature by sowing, cutting trees or mining coal. Rather, all economic activities are dependent on trees and coal…” #koheisaito

When the weather is foggy, we often focus on vision, but perhaps the vision is overrated. We rarely discuss how the mist gently caresses our faces in the early mornings and how refreshing that feeling can be.

Sight never truly conveys the essence of being alive.
