Currently at the #CUGH2025 conference in Atlanta. A real joy of this otherwise strange time is running into wonderful colleagues, who I've admired and been inspired by for such a long time. So wonderful to see you, Beryne Odeny and @nasadoc.bsky.social ! ❤️

Lesson 6 is another good one, not only for those of us in research, but for those of us humans trying to make the world a better place: 6. The most important voices for change are often the quietest

It's almost impossible to pick a favorite article in @plosglobalpublichealth.org, but one of the top ones I recommend to folks who are new to the journal, or new to global health, or who want to learn how to write an effective Opinion piece is this one:

We published a really interesting paper today at @plosglobalpublichealth.org:

If you've only got time for one paper this week, make it this one. I do hope you'll stay a while at @plosgph.bsky.social, though - we are constantly publishing diverse, robust, important work from a global community.

In sum, a neat paper to check out - and you can know that all of this paper's underlying data are completely available - all PLOS papers have a Data Availability Statement where you can check it out for yourself. (They don't all come with emojis - those were added by me ✅)
