I successfully did a test firing in a manual electric kiln. Onward! Also, some neighbors set out some free poblano peppers rescued from their garden before the freeze. Roasted them last night - yum!

My mom died last Sunday, and the something good is the reminder of how many good people I have in my life who love and support me. Also, having my cat sit on my heart and purr is pure love healing.

Went to a family member’s wedding in Santa Fe. Fun to visit a new-to-me town. I gave them a set of nesting bowls, which I thought turned out really good.

My dad is digitizing old photos, and has sent me a few. They feel new to me, because I don’t remember ever seeing them. Here’s me 50+ years ago, ready for adventure!

My mom fell a couple times last fall, and was unable to get up on her own. There was talk of moving into assisted living, but she agreed to PT and OT to build strength. Though she complains about doing the exercises, she was recently able to get up off the floor unassisted!
Also, I went boarding. 😄

I got out walking every day this month, even on some killer long 12+ hour workdays. The break for fresh air and sun does help.
