Ok, one last delightful detail: it was made with blended strawberries and top shelf gin, but was served from a Home Hardware bucket kept on the back stoop (natural refrigerator) 🍹

I like to think (hope) this is my Little Guy, feeling much better at our bird restaurant this morning (w pal) ❤️

I moved this stunned bluejay off the busy street this morning in my way to work. I sincerely hope they’re ok! Their family/group was up in the trees keeping an eye on them/me. I’ll never get over how sweet & trusting the bird seemed as I gathered them up & placed them on the grass. 😭😭😭

Spent a few hours at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (writing abt it tangentially right now, actually!), and WOW, this Louise Bourgeois they’ve recently acquired is exquisite! The Couple, 2002 — Bourgeois made this in her 90s. I was almost weeping.

There is a beautiful lake with an abundance of migratory birds, including WIGEONS, a 5 minute walk from my house. I didn’t know about WIGEONS until roughly two days ago when I was looking up the birds/ducks that I spotted. We also watched a huge gull drown then eat a pigeon — Nat Geo over here 😅

In a rare twist of expectations, no one can understand my accent in my new city (I’m exaggerating but only a bit!). I regularly get something I didn’t order at the campus coffee shop — I’m embracing my fate. Anyway, here’s the North Atlantic Ocean, my new neighbour.
