*I'm so glad they are getting interested in football, we are having all the conversations about it tonight lol

(Chiefs score) 3yo sighs audibly, "Aww, I want the Eagles to win!"

3yo: "Let's play rock, paper, scissors! I'll be paper and you be scissors."

6yo: "Mama, why isn't football called hand ball? Because football means you hit it with your foot."

3yo: "Mama, the Eagles won!"
Me: "no, babe, they're ahead but it's only the end of the first quarter"
6yo: "the kids in my class will be so happy if the Eagles win"

6yo: "How do you win at football?"
Me: "Well, there are four sections that are called 'quarters' where they play--"
3yo: "Pickleball!"
Me: "Um, no, they play football..."
3yo: "Oh."

3yo: *throws fabric flowers in the air* "You guys! That was the special flower throw for the Superbowl!"

"... Eagles franchise..."
3yo: "Mmm! French fries! [Sister], they said Eagles French fries!!"

6yo: "I didn't know the Eagles played football! I thought they played baseball!"
(We live outside Philly and on Friday they had an entire Eagles day at school. We made this revelation today.)

3yo: "I love all these soccer balls!"
(They were footballs)
