Today, on the 27th annual Trans Day of Remembrance, we honor those in the trans community we’ve lost to violence. We mark today to not simply remember their deaths, but the lives they lived. That they had families, friends, dreams, favorite songs, and plans for tomorrow. #TransDayOfRemembrance #TDOR

I am so saddened by the tragic incident in Yarmouth this morning. My thoughts are with the workers affected and my thanks to the many first responders on the scene this morning. As we learn more, my office is available to the town and emergency services to provide whatever help they need.

1/2: I am thinking of the people of Jamaica, and the many Cape Codders and Islanders with loved ones there, as the island faces the most catastrophic hurricane in its history. From Montego Bay to the Outer Cape, the Jamaican community have long helped define our region's success.

1/2 Today the Senate unanimously passed the Massachusetts Data Privacy Act.

For too long, Big Tech and data brokers have played fast and loose with our most private details.

Speed up housing production in Massachusetts TODAY.

My amendment Unlocking Housing Production just passed the Senate by a vote of 40-0.

Massachusetts has been falling behind on housing production for decades. We are enacting a plan to fix that.

Thank you to everyone who attended Trans Day of Visibility yesterday at the State House. We just need to remember that advocacy and visibility are not one-day affairs. The work must and will continue. I stand in solidarity with all members of the LGBTQ+ community, always.

Happy 105th birthday to Massachusetts native and Cape Cod resident Freeman K. Johnson, the oldest surviving veteran from the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. What an honor to sit next to this true American hero 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Trump administration’s attack on veterans is unconscionable and unacceptable. Make your voices heard!

Housing has become a crisis for so many across the Cape & Islands and Massachusetts. I am honored to be tapped to lead the Housing Committee and eager to get to work!

THIS is what’s possible when you show up and make your voices heard. THANK YOU to my colleagues in the Cape & Islands delegation and everyone who wrote a letter, sent an email, made a call, and most importantly showed up to insist our mental health facilities remain open. Very good news indeed.
Healey pauses plans to close 2 state-run hospitals after pushback
Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey has hit the brakes on plans to close two state-run hospitals in Canton and Cape Cod, saying she wants to bring the communities together to discuss the path forward.

Today, on #TransDayOfRemembrance, we honor the trans and gender non-conforming lives tragically taken by violence and hate. At least 426 this year. This is a solemn reminder of the work still ahead to ensure EVERY person in MA—and beyond—can live with safety, dignity, and joy. #mapoli 🏳️‍⚧️
