Highly suggest the Titanfall 2 campaign. It was developed by Respawn, who went on to create the Star Wars Jedi games. It's fast paced, action heavy, has really solid FPS parkour mechanics, giant mech battles, and it doesn't overstay it's welcome.

I think we should collectively start misgendering everyone—how many “ma’ams” can Brad take before he snaps and adds “I have a penis” to his email signature?

Only if people think this way.

I’m not saying TLOU2 equals Breaking Bad. You’ve repeatedly misrepresented my point. Criticizing a story for a flawed character “looking bad” overlooks the intentional moral complexity. Like Walter White, Ellie’s complexity isn’t a flaw—it’s the story’s strength.

“I don’t think this Walt fella should be cooking meth, it makes him look bad!”

Yeah, of course everyone is entitled to an opinion. I am arguing that their specific example isn’t a valid criticism because it misses the point the creators intended. Which, and this is my opinion, I attribute to the story being too emotionally complex for a loud group of people.

When the criticism is that a moment like the one they described makes the character look bad, it’s a clear case of misunderstanding the creators’ intent. They’re entitled to dislike the game, but that doesn’t make the criticism valid.

Like I said, it was too emotionally challenging for some. It did not fail- it just did not deliver the safe hero fantasy you were looking for.

I strongly disagree. The story is meticulously crafted to mirror Ellie’s journey of revenge, ultimately challenging you to empathize with her target in a way only video games as a medium can achieve.

TLOU pt. 2 is a masterpiece. Gameplay, visuals, story, all 11/10.

The game is only controversial because some snowflakes couldn’t handle some emotional story beats and didn’t like playing as a woman who could kick their ass.

Shit like this is why people don't trust the left to govern.

More people didn’t vote than voted for Kamala or Trump combined. If Democrats could manage to excite and activate even a small number of that disaffected group things would be different.
