I filed a complaint (I couldn't get a rheumatologist for a year + in Quebec) and said it wasn't there fault bc I wasn't in organ failure. So my accidental medical tourism was out of necessity.

Yeah, I don't speak Spanish it sucked for that reason. I was moderately sick in Quebec and had to drop out of McGill due to healthcare delays, then went on vacation to PV. Wish I got care after I was hospitalized up there.

My vasculitis was actually diagnosed in Puerto Vallarta (it was accidental medical tourism though, got very sick suddenly)

I'm very interested in how Silicon Valley's new sales tax to help fund local hospitals will play out and sad due to wealth disparities in this country, even if it succeeds, likely can't be replicated.

Lucky is probably bigger than most of you expect. Yes, Lucky is a long distance family doggo bc my chronically ill self doesn't have the energy to take care of him on my own (he's high energy despite being 10)

I wish care from doctors trained in palliative medicine was much more accessible. And for children, it's even more inaccessible.
