Very overdue day in the saddle. Had such a good ride. Check out my friend in the tree. I was riding right under that tree when my friend noticed it.

Reunited with an old love last weekend at Skaha. Happy to find that I can still do this after a 12 year hiatus. Travelling to Peru in 5 weeks where we will see if I can do it at 6000m. 🏔️🧗♀️🇵🇪

This cute boy is a twin who has been rejected by his mother. I’ve been trying to get her to accept him for a week but have made no progress so I’m giving up. Much faster and easier to just bottle feed him. Definitely not ideal though.

Moved most of the sheep who have already lambed out to pasture today. Still have 4 to lamb in the maternity pen and one who really isn’t winning any mothering awards this Mother’s Day as she has rejected one of her twins so I have to wrestle with her 5 times a day so he can eat.

I’m training for a month of climbing 6000m peaks in Peru in July. I’m in Lillooet for work this week where it’s pretty easy to crank out a 3 hour training hike with some good elevation gain. Beautiful day for it today.

Went straight from daffodils on Vancouver Island to -20 in Fort Saint John. My month long travel marathon wraps up tomorrow. Looking forward to some time in my own bed. Not so excited about catching up on office work.

It’s been many years and two shoulder surgeries since I did my signature cartwheel on a mountain top. I hiked up Zoa Peak this morning and decided to give it a whirl. I figured there was a good chance I was just going to collapse in a heap. So I was pretty elated when this happened. 😁🤸
