In Finland people actually used different names for these. "Lerppu" was used for the floppy disks (essentially just same as floppy) while "korppu" was used for the smaller ones with hard case (literally is a type of hard bread).

I was also reading it last year while my egg was starting to crack. That was definitely an experience. It really is quite good.
