Here is my studio today. I am working on a big gold painting! It's still got months before I complete it, but I am enjoying some happy colors. Notice a background noise? That is my fans for ventilation!

Here is my palette today! My next work will have yellows, browns and greens.

I am starting a new painting. Right now, I see the work as being full of yellows, golds and browns. Here is a mess of colors on my hot palette! Wish me luck, as I am still figuring out the design.

Here is a look at my little handmade book of my encaustic prints!

This is me painting clear beeswax over a birchwood panel. Here is the pattern...I paint a layer, then heat and smooth the layer....and repeat three times. This creates a base for my painting. Next step? Add color! www.gallerydz.com

It's time to play with R & F pigments sticks on paper, while I figure out my next painting.
I am also applying encaustic gesso to another large set of panels, which will take all day as i paint and allow the surface to dry.
