hopefully i am correctly understanding what you mean here- you can go into Brio's Advanced Animation Control, apply an expression blend, then go to Slots. set Facial (2)'s Slot Speed to 0.

should keep whatever expression you applied up indefinitely, without needing to freeze your character ^^
