(Retired MD here) It’s a slippery slope. Do we then withhold health care for any illness associated with what we deem is “risky” behavior? How about alocoholism? STIs? Etc.. this is a tough one

Between this and closing Dept of Ed, how is Congress allowing the theft of their power ? They are being emasculated by these two… while I do think there are a few who really don’t mind, I just can’t believe it’s the majority of Republicans. With Dems we can stop this!!!

It is regrettable:
1- that we have a president and VP who are such idiots
2- that Zalenskyy took the bait
3- that it was televised
4- that he now has to apologize- sort of

Recipients must be residents of the state in which they receive Medicaid and must be citizens of the US or lawful permanent residents.

Facts:
2023: 85million enrollees and cost $870 billion (federal and state costs). Average cost per enrollee of $7600. 37% of enrollees were children but only accounted for 15% of spending ($3000 per child). Seniors and disabled adults accounted for 21% of spending (>$18,000 per person)
