Well I guess this answers how The Other Place is going.

Turns out there’s a lot in the NBA I don’t understand tonight.

If homes prices adjust down d/t insurance costs it will wipe away a huge amount of middle class wealth. The challenge is it may not be immediately obvious, both because transaction delays & because measuring a “but for” is hard. Another real but not “in your face” economic effect of climate change.

And the team values its own players way more than everyone else, meaning we can’t move off them. There’s no energy or mojo, and fans are listless.

There’s no clear succession plan, promising rookies are blocked by aging vets who are fine but not the future, and they can’t commit to a direction because of short run value maximizing. Previous bad decisions and commitments made to players who weren’t the right fit are weighing us down.

It’s a good things parenting books prepared you for this.
