Anyone else feeling stuck with their current project? I like to sketch to clear my head.

What do you do to get out of it?

Some days writing feels like breathing. Other days, it’s a war with my own brain. What’s your biggest writing struggle? #writingcommunity #amwriting #queerwriters #writinglife

Last month I was able to finish two of my three books. This month I’m picking up two new ones. Two books are for fun and one is for a purpose. What are you reading this month? #BookSky

Such a great quote from Ann Lamont in Bird by Bird.

I’m excited to officially launch my Substack newsletter next week. #BookSky #AuthorsofBlueSky #WritingCommunity #AuthorThings #WritingLife

Was going through some old sketchbooks and rediscovered this one that I did in about 15 mins at a Barnes and Noble. I think I might use it as a basis for a character in an upcoming story. #authorsofbluesky #authorthings #sketchbook #sketching #art

Lately as part of my prep for my next novel I’ve been getting nostalgic for one of my favorite cartoons and one of my favorite books.

What things from your past are still influencing your projects?

I love art and I especially love movies. A lot of time when I am writing I draw inspiration for the feelings I want to capture from films that made me feel the same way. For my novella “Please Exit Through the Gift Shop“ I drew from these three films.

I have 1 novel, 2 novellas, and 4 short stories to edit/rewrite this year. So I’m dedicating the next four months to getting through all the short stories and start submitting them in the summer or sooner.

It’s going to be exciting.
