After this playthrough, I have mad respect for Josie 💜

I have already played Veilguard and managed to get the best ending with only three factions (I’m not sure how) but I wanted more solas context. My original pt I had done Cullen. If I hadn’t wanted to do solas for the plot, I ld say I really liked Josephine, Leliana, and vivienne.

I do think they’re more than cops tho, which can be a different discussion but I completely understand your point. Again, this was a pt to do everything opposite of what I had done before and I just liked the story and its structure better.

Sometimes magic that can reinvent itself per the games story can be an issue because limitations can change and for me those limitations can create creative plot development and the mage recruitment just wasn’t it for me. It was very handy doing their perspective first though.

The mage route felt like they were struggling to find a way to utilized magic in a way that conveyed large stakes and consequences in a way that also didn’t rival Corypheus, and so chose to do ‘what things *could* be’ alt timeline (if I’m remembering that correctly).

honestly I’m glad I’m not the only one that dislikes him as a villain and I did do his dlc!

So I did the mages my first pt, so this time I went on the templar route and recruitment quest wise I loved Champions of the Just. Tone, stakes, and consequence felt far more real than doing an alt reality

I didn’t record 😅 but I have to confess I did the game from beginning to skyhold, then paused for 6 months to get a breather, and then played to end. I remember HATING the beginning, corypheus, and all the random maps in my first PT, so this was a way I could redo it with a genuine fresh mind
