Ice storms to the north of me and my area hit by severe thunderstorms, straight line winds and a tornado warning 🌪️‼️ And then…the calm after the storm! Although the sunset was gorgeous, it’s a cold, gray and windy day ahead. Stay safe out there gang!

Happy Caturday! In honor of my old gal Claire, who crossed the rainbow bridge on Monday. This is on her last day, enjoying a sunbeam moment. For 17.5 yrs she was a lioness who did everything on her own terms. Not an easy girl to live with but I’m going to miss her all the same. Rest easy dear. 💔🌞🌈🪽

Happy Caturday from my old gal Claire! Idk how many more Caturday’s I have left with her, she’s been in a steady decline for several months now. But as long as she continues to enjoy naps in front of a register, begs for treats and plays with her catnip toys, I’m good with that and so is she. 🩷🐾🩷

Happy snow day gang! Quite a bit fell overnight and it’s still coming down! Took my dog Phil out this morning and my neighbor had snowplowed a path for us (Phil’s getting fussy in his old age)! He’s the nicest guy and always looks out for us. I’ll bake some lemon bars to thank him. Stay safe today.❄️

Some sad news this morning…our cancer warrior friend, jaylee2076@bsky.social has sadly passed away. A FB post from her church said Julie passed January 7. I’m going to miss her courage and optimism in fighting this awful disease and always loved her posts about her cat, Nurse Crybaby! RIP friend. 💔

Happy 🐪 hump 🐫 day gang! Saw my neighbor ice boating yesterday and brought back many good memories of my husband. He was an avid ice boater and made both of his. The racer is mahogany and resembles a Chris Craft-beautiful! He took both our girls out and taught them the sport-lots of wintertime fun!

Just found out my favorite baseball player, Rocky Colavito died last Tuesday, age 91!!! My dad took me to my first baseball game just to see him in the outfield, #21, he was playing for Cleveland. It was also the 10,000th game played at Tiger Stadium!! That was in 1965...wow! A lifetime ago!

Happy first snow day of the school year! It doesn’t look like much but there’s ice under that snow and the gusts of wind is causing snow squalls. And even though I’m retired, I still have to check the school closings-a hard habit to break! Nothing like the thrill of a surprise day off from work!

Please wear purple today, to remember all those who’ve been affected by it and those still fighting it. Hopefully one day, we’ll conquer it💜
