They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

If income distributions of 3 decades after WWII (1945-1974) remained, the aggregate annual income of Americans earning below 90th percentile would have been enough to more than double median income. Pay every working Am additional $1,144 a month. Every month. Every year. Instead, $$$ went to rich.

Regulators & state insurance commissioners could require more info abt health insurance claims denials & make data available so customers can compare plans. But they don't.

Ppl appeal less than 1% of claims denials. Let's change that.

If you're denied, appeal.

How Often Do Health Insurers Say No to Patients? No One Knows.
Insurers’ denial rates — a critical measure of how reliably they pay for customers’ care — remain mostly secret to the public. Federal and state regulators have done little to change that.

For Americans advised to stock up on things before the tariffs hit. Won't work with groceries.
