But that’s the thing, records can also be deceiving. Yes, they were winning but it’s not like they were blowing anyone out of the water. It never seemed sustainable. I tried not to get too excited about that record.

I would say this team looks awfully similar to last season’s: the same ailments around offence, a good starting rotation that is one injury away from falling apart, and a cold and hot bullpen. Not exactly I winning formula but I hope you are right. I’m still watching all the games and supporting.

Obviously I meant to say that even if they improve and play to their full potential, they still seem like a team poised to miss the playoffs and end at the bottom of the division. I would love nothing more than to be proved wrong.

Is there really a reason to believe the team could turn things around? The start of the season looks more like a mirage and that this is closer to the team’s real level.

I honestly prefer this approach of trying to get the hit you need in the situation rather than seemingly always swinging for the fences - and failing.
