That is the worst, the most pernicious part of this administration. That good people willingly self-destruct in service of those they love.

And I understand that this is wrong. That people need to pause, they need to refresh, they need to engage in the kind of self love that allows them to recharge. And I know good, decent people who will destroy themselves in the service of others, not knowing that pausing will allow them to be greater

But the situation is so grave, the consequences so serious, that I feel that anything I say that extends beyond the grim consequences of what we face will make me seem less than serious. That I am concerned with ephemera when lives are on the line.
