If you encountered a useless chin since 138 Google Chrome on Android (gestures navigations) and real pissed (as i am) here's waht you can do:
- go chrome://flags and disable "edge-to-edge-everywhere" and related "edge-to-edge" flags.

i'm 40yo,
i started coding almost 2 years ago,
at some point i noticed i started having troubles seeing.
I'd have to move an obj further away to see it focused.
i've never had those.
I thought: maybe that was the age and maybe that was the coding 10h a day. in the dark. and the lack of sleep.

i thought i was aware about how sharp is the 2nd edge of the social media invention, but.. in fact i didn't know much at all. realizing it now while watching "Childhood 2.0".

After a year and a half in web dev i finally made it!
I use tus where i can and it does the thing. But to Cloudflare R2 i couldn't display progress. Now i can. v happy about it!

After a year and a half in web dev i finally made it!

i was gonna sort out files adding functionality to my books making app. but now i remembered that i had an idea to add a step gradient to my color picking thing, and so i might do that instead.

Here's what i've been working on this evening.
It's a part of my text parser that's not only to make individually styled text blocks but also to add audio and video. So i finished the recordings part, next is adding files. I think i'll make a longer video and show lots of things then.

Yep. when i started posting to Threads about me building a networking app for writers - my views dropped down to nothing. and never got back.
the only interaction that happens on my posts - is when people come check my page after a connection we made on their threads.

yeah me too. that's the thing that coding is a 100% predictable matter. and any problem can be solved in it. but marketing and stuff - unpredictable and so it contrasts with coding in comfort. well, i guess, while it's uncomfortable to take risks playing.

Is making a video-editor with transcode in ffmpeg in wasm - is frontend or it's just popups, scroll driven animations and stuff?
There were debates that there's no such thing as frontend engineering, like it's just playing with lego.

Talking about using libraries.
Ones i needed a color-picker and i found one. And i sorta liked it but on mobile it was different and i didn't like it at all.
So i decided to make one. I was about 3 months from my first line of code at that moment.

i agree.
I avoid using libraries unless i have to, like ffmpeg, three, crypto..
I used htmlToCanvas at the beginning of my journey but then made my custom canvas work function and never regretted it. not only i learned things, but also i made some handy tools for my app that go beyond that library.
