I was thinking about restorative faith today. How if you live out gentle and kind faith even discipline is aimed to be restorative - not condemning. No shame or shameful acts involved.

When a church's actions lack care or a curiosity to understand the depth of despair in a home suffering domestic abuse, when their mom is not supported, when they are not heard/valued - what do you think the impact of silent prayers and apparent indifference has on the children?

Liars lie. Sociopaths don't care about morals, harm or impact. Trying to understand them, justify them, give them grace, reframe their intentions as mistakes or accidents only serves to become complicit in their evil choices and harm to their victims.

People like say evil doesn't win. But it does. Until people take a stand against evil, it will keep winning while people hide behind the lie that evil is self defeating. It isn't.

The one thing I've come to rely on in church culture environments -- I am expected to endure suffering and abuse, thank leadership for coddling the abuser and move on so others can be comfortable with the facade of "reconciliation".

Too many church environments conflate placation and reconciliation. They are not the same. One is destructive to relationships and self while the other one restores relationships and community.

If people can not be safe from abusers and predators in a church or a "christian" institution it always makes me question if they know God at all. Can you really know good if you can't discern it from evil?

Sent a message to a local church reminding them that bearing false witness is a sin. I'll never understand the church culture that perpetuates or becomes complicit with abuse AND compounds harm to the innocent due to indifference towards or condemnation of the victims.

Coercive control is when the abusive parent makes choices in family court that will cause the children to suffer in order to negotiate what they want, then plays chicken with the safe parent. The safe parent relents to protect the children. SOP in family court and should be illegal.

Husband has been job hunting for several months. Had a solid interview at the end of last week. Please pray that this job will come through or another is on the immediate horizon.

My sons asked me to join their clan in Clash of Clans. I told them no for weeks because I have no self control when there are boxes are to check. Now I'm in a challenge to destroy 20 cannons that I'm ill equipped to destroy and waiting 10 hours for my air defense to finish its upgrade.
