Judy leaned back as well, looking at him for a while like she was assessing him. "I think… You are the best, most important friend in the world, for me. And I put you on my list, right near the very top, cause I missed being able to see you whenever I wanted to."

She cleared her throat, —

"Are you arguing semantics with me now, mister?" She laughed as well. "What title do you prefer?"

“I have my whole life left to work on my list,“ Judy pointed out. “It absolutely accounts for spending time with the best friend I have in this world. Besides…“ She poked him a bit playfully. “You‘re on that list too, after all.“

"I don’t mind short notice, it‘s just here instead of at your place." She chuckled softly. "It was lovely to see you work again, it felt only right to join the festivities."

"You always do a great job, but I know what you mean." Not much of a celebratory feeling when a client had to go to jail, even if Ray had done his best. "It‘s good to see, anyway. You’re practically glowing!"

Judy nudges him lightly, after the toast.
