I remember the first time I heard Purple Haze- ‘67 or ‘68. Sewing a dress in my college dorm lounge and a girl came in and put the album on the stereo. I’d never heard anything like it.💙

A close friend of mine died a few years ago. Her son became a right wing Catholic after college. He’s always had trouble fitting in - school, work etc. But he found a place in the anti-choice groups and spends weekends protesting(harassing/intimidating) women trying to access healthcare.😡

My dog wakes me up at 6 for breakfast(half her daily ration). Then barks at 11:00 for lunch. Snack time is at 3:00. I’m out of bed in bed in the morning at the same time as when I was still working.😴

She’s just beautiful. Except for two the cats in my life have been tabbies. I think they are so beautiful. Lost our tabby a yr ago and now I have a very senior tuxedo. But my Angelo was one in a million and we miss him every day. You’ve captured your Mia so beautifully.

We have one but don’t use it and seldom get calls. My granddaughter saw it once and asked “what is it?”

Can just be their phase in life. My daughter was a Lit major in college but when she had kids/job didn’t have time. Got a kindle last Xmas so she can take it with her and read when she has a few minutes. My brother wasn’t a reader as a kid but now retired he walks to the library every week.

I was in my 9th grade algebra class. Kids stood and recited the Our Father with principal on office PA system. Only time I prayed in public school in the small IL Republican town. The newspaper delivered that day at home was bordered in black. Nothing in the U.S. was ever the same.
