I don’t totally agree. The writing was pretty much on point apart from, as you say, the emphasis on background for the bad guys. I’m used to one writer for a series, I live in the uk, but they don’t usually run the show as well and perhaps a writers room would’ve helped here?

I saw a hummingbird hawk moth on a lavender bush a while back. It took a minute or two for my brain to work out that hummingbirds don’t live in County Durham. Amazing

Thanks for this Katie. I’ve just had the notes of my second draft back from my agent. Very similar to you in that I didn’t think there would be any major changes. Wrong! So having a bit wallow before sorting it all out. Thanks again for showing that I’m not alone
