I knew creating this book/art/vintagy space would be a fun challenge, but it’s become the very best kind of soul food. If you’re in PEI, check us out: @sassylassievintage.bsky.social

I have a picture book releasing in June but it is tough to focus on promoting it when the world feels so uneasy. I did create some new springish greeting cards for my shop though. Gotta try to spread some light around.

Designing the exterior shop sign for the barn. It will go in the middle section (centered between the loft and lower level windows). The current debate…should it be a square, rectangle, or circle shape?

Two authors from The ANNEthology signed copies at the OLA Super Conference! Whoot!! What an amazing event and opportunity for our Annes to shine.

Wish I could have joined them but the timing was wonky for me. ;)

So excited about my upcoming picture book releasing this spring with Acorn Press! The Sandcastle That Jack Built is my playful spin on the traditional nursery rhyme with illustrations by renowned Prince Edward Island artist (and sand sculptor!) Maurice Bernard. #acornpress #readatlantic

Another lovely scene from a wintry Prince Edward Island. The summer shops and restaurants will be open again before we know it, but I do love the stillness of tourist spots as they hibernate.

We’re opening a brick and mortar (seasonal) book, art, and vintage decor shop in our heritage barn this spring. We have an Etsy shop and sell via our website as well. Is it worth creating a Bluesky profile for the shop? Are there vintage lovers here? Etsy shop owners? Or…not the place? lol

The previous owners of our home had this sign on the property when we went to view it - worked it specifically into the conditions of sale. It always makes me smile.

I love PEI in the summer but the Island in winter has its own frosty charm.

Well 2025, let’s see how things go on Bluesky…
