I hate to admit how much this is freaking me out.

I had minor surgery on my thumb yesterday and one of my cats is going crazy trying to rip off my dressing.

I received a similar clock as a graduation present from my grandfather in 1975. Used it for at least 20 years.

Understood. I just hate to see things stated in such a way that it makes it easy for the other side to deny the whole point.

U. S. maternity leave situation sucks, for sure, but this graphic is not accurate. Average paid leave is certainly greater than zero. I received 6 weeks in 1984. But federally mandated/guaranteed leave is, indeed, zero.

Time for another massive protest.

Second, I read My Dear Hamilton by Dray and Kamoie. I learned a lot of American history and I also came to understand that this country has feared for the survival of democracy from the very beginning. And here we are. I have hope.

First, I bought the box set of The West Wing on Apple TV, and have been watching nothing else for days on end. It is a great antidote to current events. I may just start again from the beginning once I finish.
